Complete day to day plan is to be drawn up by Coach Stephan Teeling Lynch, it will include a balancing element to incorporate swim training cycles with local competitive swim teams and competitive running clubs targeting cross country.
Malacky Murray will lead a screening program and basic education program on snc / warm ups cool downs etc
Parents will be asked to get involved and help to lead sessions. With this is mind it would be great if interested parents can email info@gotri.ie if they would like to take part in a Triathlon Ireland training course.
All juniors must be members of Triathlon Ireland and our racing juniors will be asked to join Cycling Ireland also as we progress them through the ranks.
Our swim team is currently not swim Irl affiliated however this is up for discussion at our next AGM
Kids of the west
The day after the adults take on the Hell of the West Triathlon the kids get to take on their own personal challenges in Carrighaholt. It was fantastic to see all the adults coming out to support and even better to see the juniors doing so well
Jamie Kelly, Luke O Nell, Darragh O Neill, Daragh Hickey, Ruth Hickey well done to all of you and be proud of your performances.
Onwards and upwards now to Galway aquathon fingers crossed we can get all our junior team up to compete.
