Shannon Road running series

Without the sponsors we wouldn't have taken the risk for chip timing, from the bottom of our club hearts thank you to them for supporting a small club event like ours. 

The highlight of the night as always was the kids run of 1500m. It's all about participation at this age with encouraging competition. We had 13 kids take part ranging in ages from 5 years old to 12 years old.

Our 5km 
It's a lightning fast 5km course taking in parts of the 10km. A flat first loop a small out and back followed by a loop on wooded paths to come home. 20 runners took on our club 5km 

An Bru Ac produced the winner in Derek casey and First Lady was Mary Neill both with great times. 

Jamie kelly was our first junior male and Georgia Reidy Bond was our first Junior girl 

The 10km 

54 runners took on our club 10km 
Taking place on a new course it was great to see so any new faces but even happier to see our past champions returning to test themselves. 

From the off the pace was fast with our lead runner Karl Fitzmaurice making out lead biker sweat :) 

We would like to say a huge well done to all our runners who took on a great course on the night, a great performance by all the first timers taking on their first event. We are sure you will have many more.

It was brilliant having great support from our local super Market Dunne's Stores who supplied loads of bottles of water and bananas. To all our local bakers and cake makers who put on a great feast for the runners after another huge thank you and to ST.Senans who let us use the great facility for hosting the event it was greatly appreciated
